How the Care Support Service works
The Care Support Service offers practical guidance, information and support on a broad spectrum of care issues. The service is proactive, whenever possible, and flexible according to the requirements of each customer. Care Support offers the services of a group of professional people, trained to listen and respond in the most appropriate manner to the whole range of practical and emotional problems that customers and their immediate families may encounter.
As a customer you can call the Care Support Service for information and support as soon as your Lifetime Care policy has been issued.
Our team of Care Counsellors are trained to the highest standards. They have professional training and experience in the social care field, as well as counselling skills.
Their ability to listen to your particular concerns and understand the implications of your circumstances mean the advice that they offer is unique to you. The solution to your needs will reflect your own special requirements, although the wealth of experience from which our Care Counsellors can draw, would have played its part.
It is important to stress that our Care Counsellors are trained to see and understand issues from your perspective and not the company's. We encourage all of our clients to make full use of the advice and counselling the Care Support Service can provide.
The immediate help the Counsellor can provide will be of a practical nature, help with form filling and dealing with the Social Services Department and DWP to ascertain your State benefit entitlement. Most importantly a Care Counsellor will, with your guidance, prepare a care programme that will answer your own particular needs and circumstances. That may include helping you organise a care provider or help in choosing a care home if that were appropriate.
The involvement of the Care Counsellor is a continuing process. Once you are receiving care, the quality of the service being provided is regularly monitored and liaison with your family or chosen representative is maintained.
